Smart Clipboard Manager — your clipboard history, searchable
A Chrome extension I built that auto-saves everything you copy and lets you search, pin, organize, and re-paste it — all stored locally.
Smart Clipboard Manager is a Chrome extension I built that quietly saves everything you copy, then lets you search, pin, organize, and re-paste it — all stored locally on your device, with no account and no cloud.
What it does
- Auto-saves your clipboard history (up to 500 recent clips) and detects each item’s type — URL, code, email, phone, number, or text — with a filter for each.
- Real-time search with match highlighting, plus pinning and named folders to keep the useful clips handy.
- Text snippets: short triggers like ;sig expand into saved text in any input field.
- Right-click to paste a recent clip or snippet, multi-select to bulk delete or merge, and sort by recent, most-used, or length.
- Private by design: everything stays on-device, with a PIN lock, JSON export/import backup, and auto-clear on browser close. Alt+C opens it.
Why I built it
Re-copying the same things all day is a small, constant tax. I wanted a clipboard that remembered for me — searchable and organized — without sending a word of it to someone else’s server.
