Building SERP Forge, the organic growth engine for B2B SaaS
How a ₹500-an-article freelancer turned into a 12-person agency — and why we stopped calling ourselves an SEO shop.
Three years ago, I was writing articles for ₹500 each on freelance marketplaces, taking whatever work came. Today, SERP Forge turns that work down. This is the story of what changed.
Where it started
It began the way most agencies do: a solo freelancer who could do the thing, saying yes to everything. The problem with saying yes to everything is that you become known for nothing.
We weren't losing on quality. We were losing on the story we told about ourselves.— the realisation that changed things
The repositioning
So we rewrote it. Not "we do SEO," but "we are the organic growth engine for B2B SaaS." Same skills, different frame — and the frame changed everything about who reached out.
What actually changed
The eight-pillar system
We built an internal planning board — eight growth pillars, each owned by a manager, broken into 64 concrete actions.
pillars:
- name: "Technical foundation"
owner: "@priya"
actions: 8
- name: "AI-answer visibility"
owner: "@rahul"
actions: 8 # the newest pillarWhere we are today
Twelve people. A clear audience. A positioning that does the filtering for us.
If you run a B2B SaaS company and you're tired of agencies that report rankings instead of revenue, that's exactly the gap we built SERP Forge to close.
